Accessibility statement
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Private Plug wants everyone to be able to browse the catalogue, find information and shop at https://privateplug.es, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use. This statement explains the website's accessibility level, how it has been checked and how you can let us know if something does not work as it should.
Accessibility level
The website has been designed and built to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 published by the W3C, which is the reference for the European standard EN 301 549 and for the Spanish Kit Digital programme. Based on the evaluation described below, the website conforms to WCAG 2.1 level AA, with the exceptions listed under "Third-party content".
What we have done
- Keyboard navigation: every feature (menu, search, filters, bag, size selector and forms) can be used without a mouse. There is a "Skip to content" link and focus is always visible.
- Screen readers: semantic HTML, labelled regions, a single main heading per page, a correct heading hierarchy and the language of each page declared (Spanish or English).
- Images: every photo has alternative text. The management panel does not allow an image to be uploaded without it.
- Contrast and reading: a minimum contrast of 4.5:1 for text, scalable typography and a layout that adapts without losing content from 320 pixels wide and with text enlarged to 200%.
- Forms: every field has a label, optional fields are marked and errors are announced and explained next to the field.
- Motion: if you have enabled the reduced-motion setting on your device, animations are turned off. The announcement bar and the brand carousel can be paused. The 3D models are decorative: all product information is also provided as text and images.
- Pop-up panels: the bag, menu, search and filters keep focus inside while they are open and close with the Esc key.
- Languages: the whole website is available in Spanish and English.
Third-party content
- Payment gateway: payment takes place on Stripe's secure page. Its accessibility depends on Stripe. If you have any difficulty paying, write to us and we will help you complete your order.
- External links: the external pages we link to (for example, Instagram or WhatsApp) are not under our control.
How it was evaluated
- Evaluation date: 1 October 2026.
- Method: self-assessment.
- Automated tests with axe-core (WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 rules, levels A and AA) on the main pages in Spanish and English, on desktop and mobile: 0 issues.
- Reflow test at screen widths from 320 to 1920 pixels: no horizontal scrolling.
- Manual review of keyboard navigation, focus order and visibility, alternative text, forms and contrast. This statement is reviewed whenever significant changes are made to the website and at least once a year.
